Phonica Premieres returns! This week we’ve chosen a deep cut from Moscow’s OL aka Oleg Buyanov off his Jungle TV EP on Meda Fury. In the time since his last EP on Meda Fury, he’s helped start the hotly tipped vinyl only Moscow based label Gost Zvuk and also released a highly sought Pobeda EP on Wilson Records.
Hand Plant’ comes on like a lost Basic Channel cut with it’s spiralling delays and jacked loops. It’s more moody, nostalgic and atmospheric than tracks on most of his previous releases and we really like the direction he’s moving in. The driving, hypnotic rhythm is what really grabs us here and we can definitely see this working late night on discerning dancefloors.
