The White Man & The Arab step up for this weeks premiere. Comprised of Ben Micklewright aka BLM (of Fear Of Flying fame) and Phonica’s very own Souhail Zaatari aka Soho, the two have spent months back and forth between London & the Derby countryside crafting their fifth release, the exchange ep – a four-track selection of hypnotic deep cuts.
Our pick, On The Floor, a nod to the fact that the whole EP was produced literally on the floor (the studio was ‘in transition’) is a contemplative, mystical composition peppered with exotic ambient sounds that excellently set the tone for the rest of the EP.
