One-third of Brazilian jazz-funk trio, Azymuth, Ivan ‘Mamão’ Conti has earned himself near legendary status, with around fifty years of recordings to his name. Known for his collaborations with such artists as Milton Nascimento, Marcos Valle, Gal Costa and Jorge Ben. In recent years Conti also recorded an album with iconic hip-hop producer Madlib under their shared ‘Jackson Conti’ moniker.
Sitting comfortably alongside remix works from Max Graef and Contours, Glenn Astro’s distinctive jazz-house-hip-hop-disco sound shines through once more. You can expect to hear all matter of broken beats, syncopated drums, erratic Rhodes stabs and psychedelic arpeggios throughout Glenn’s version. Check it out below!
