It goes without saying that we’re huge fans of Cottam. Whether it’s his own productions or cuts off his expertly curated Ruff Draft imprint, we always find ourselves reaching for his records. We’re also massive fans of DJ Nature’s unique style which makes the Ruff Draft 09 a match made in heaven for us!
‘Blood On My Hands’ is a future classic in our eyes. It utilizes a stunning polemic speech from a ‘60s episode of The Twilight Zone that’s sadly as relevant now as it was back then. The brooding sub bass and Dub Techno sensibilities create an intensely meditative vibe and when they’re combined with the shuffling, intricate rhythms it results in the perfect late night groove. We honestly can’t get enough of this one and anticipate it to fly our when it arrives in September. Listen to it in full on our souncloud above and reserve the new 12” ahead of it’s official release at the end of Summer. You can also check out all the previous Phonica Premieres down below. Enjoy!
