Fort Romeau and Ali Tillett’s Cin Cin imprint enters 2018 with a fresh and innovative split release from Lauer and The Golden Filter.
Since launching in 2015, Cin Cin has built up a solid reputation for releasing broody dancefloor focussed music from such artists as Bwana, Laurence Guy and Nick Höppner. Their latest offering, Cin Cin 10, is a well-balanced four tracker that will undoubtedly be making the rounds this year.
Our pick for the premiere, Arumba, comes from Lauer – the Frankfurt-based producer who is well-known for his musical output on Running Back, Permanent Vacation and as one half of Tuff City Kids, alongside Gerd Janson. Arumba’s escalating drum patterns are paired with a flurry of acid synth lines, Italo-style basslines and choppy, retro-sounding blips and bleeps which pay towards the tracks overall ruff ‘n’ ready feel.
