Urulu – Tochigi Descent [SOUTH STREET]

This month’s Phonica Premiere sees California-native Urulu step up with the inaugural release for brand new Wolf Music sublabel, South Street.

Tochigi Descent, it’s called – a plush four-track EP of surging house backed by earthly, contemplative, ambient sounds.

The premiere – and title – track, Tochigi Descent, is a mellow, swirling builder. Minimal beats blend with tribal drum patterns, all crisply layered above a thrusting sunshine-synth-line. This is the kind of house that Tarzan would listen to.
