Phonica Mix Series 70:
Jamie Tiller

jamie tiller phonica mixNative Londoner Jamie Tiller has been digging around in dusty record crates since he was a youngster, often travelling far and wide to track down hidden gems to add to his extensive collection of records. His musical tastes span far and wide, with a keen eye for everything from Japanese ambient to oddball house and techno to disco and left of centre pop music.

Prior to settling down in Berlin, where he now resides, Jamie lived in Amsterdam where he launched the excellent Music From Memory imprint, alongside fellow record connoisseur Tako Rerenga. Music From Memory has since secured itself as one of the go-to labels for the very finest in ambient, world and electronic music, with original works and reissue releases under its belt by artists like Kuniyuki Takahashi, Terekke, Joan Bibiloni, Curt Cress and more – not forgetting the hugely popular Outro Tempo compilation series that John Gomez carefully pieced together.

As a longtime friend of the shop, we thought it was about time we asked Jamie to put together a club-focused mix for our series, and that’s exactly what we got. Enjoy!
