Phonica Goes To Brighton

Phonica @ The Arch
Next Friday 19th May we are making our way down to Brighton for a two room affair.
As part of The Great Escape Festival program, we have been asked to curate the main after party on Friday, aptly named The Late Escape, which will take place at The Arch, one of Brighton’s most iconic venues.

Situated on Brighton’s seafront, The Arch has been hosting the finest parties in SE for years, including DJ Harvey’s legendary Tonka Soundsystem.

Some Phonica favourites will be rocking the bespoke 12KW Funktion-one system alongside new faces that have been on our radar for a while:

Fort Romeau (Cin Cin / Ghostly / Running Back)

Michael Greene has been consistently putting outoutstanding releases on revered labels such as Running Back, Live At Robert Johnson and, more recently, on his own Cin Cin imprint. He also played an excellent set at our Record Store Day event a few weeks back, check the streaming below!

Session Victim LIVE (Delusions Of Grandeur)

The German duo are renown party starters, delving and dabbling into everything from Disco to Soul to Hip Hop and back again, always leaving a crowd of smiling faces in their path. They are about to drop their third studio album on Delusions Of Grandeur and we can’t wait to hear what the pair have been cooking.

Jane Fitz (Night Moves / Freerotation)

The London-based DJ has been quietly doing her thing in the underground for over two decades but her impeccable selections and consistency behind the decks make her impossible to go unnoticed.

Thump recently did a feature on her: “Jane Fitz is the Most Underrated DJ in the UK and 2017 is Her Year“. We couldn’t agree more with that statement and her recent XLR8R podcast confirms it:

Our trusty residents Simon and Callum will be rounding off proceedings in Room 2. Check the latest Phonica Podcast with the best new releases of the month.
