Since we always chit chat about the best covers we get to see at the shop, as part of the new year resolutions we have decided to bring this new section to life where we will be posting the most eye-catching records we get in store. A few of these sleeves are truly inspiring, thought-provoking art pieces, some others are simply hilarious. So either if you are a collector after fancy designs or just want to enjoy some quirky artwork, make sure you check this space.
For the first instalment we’ve picked the latest release on the London-based imprint Lobster Theremin. Label boss Jimmy Asquith along with Cecilia Martinex have adapted an original collage by NY artist Richard Vergez into a carefully printed full picture cover, making this 3 tracker of acidic techno landscapes by Italian producer Raw M.T sound, look and feel excellent.
