Last Friday, the 17th of November, we celebrated our 20th birthday in one of London’s most revered clubbing institutions; Fabric.
Over the last year we have seen our 20 Years of Phonica celebrations take us all over the UK and beyond. Having been to Glastonbury, Kala, Junction 2, We Out Here, Nitsa and more we saw it only fitting to take our 20th birthday celebrations to our home town, and there was no better place than Charterhouse Street.
The Phonica crew alongside a star studded list of guest DJs took to the decks, warming up the Pioneer pro audio sound systems nicely in Rooms 2 and 3.
Holding it down in room 2 alongside our own Luther Vine and Alex Egan were Ninja Tune artists Elkka and TSHA, accompanied by the excellent South London up and comer Chinese Daughter. Room 3 brought a more intimate family energy with our own Sam Luke aka Skip Wooznam b2bing with our Chicago representative Colin Boardway, alongside Adonis powerhouse Grace Sands, former staff member and selector Danielle, Lisbons party blazer Violet, and the thumping energies of Yazzus to close!
Overall it was truly a moving gathering of friends, family and fans all joining together as one to celebrate the shops 20 long years on this planet!
We can’t thank Fabric enough – especially Miguel, Jorge, Isobell, Billy, Harvey and the team for such hard work to make this happen. And to our own Nick Williams who worked night with Miguel to program the line up. And of course huge thanks all you guys and girls out there that came along and partied with us!
This really was a labour of love!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY PHONICA RECORDS! HERE’S TO ANOTHER 20 YEARS!
