The fifth instalment of the Off The Record Mix Series comes from the two men that are the brains behind the Berlin-based record store, record label and events series Sound Metaphors – Castro Moore and Nemo Ripoll.
Their label Sound Metaphors, along with its sub-labels Bless You, Miss You, Thank You and H.A.N.D (Have A Nice Day) have collectively seen original releases, edits and reissues from such artists as Dina Gad, G.E.N, Instinct, Omar Joesoef and Capone to name a few.
As longtime friends of the shop, we reached out to the dynamic duo to see if they would be interested in contributing towards our new mix series, which focuses on the more abstract and obscure side of things. The result is a blinding one hour and ten-minute long recording, jam-packed with all matter of 80s guitar riffs, 90s vocal samples, acid basslines and wild percussions. Check it out below!
